Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is the American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has started exclusively in the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Medal, an Olympic gold medal, and brought the National basketball association in assists three times and steals six times. He has already been elected to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive clubs.
Paul is a McDonald's All-American in high school. He joined Wake Forest University for two years of college basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons accomplish their 1st truly number one position. He has been chosen fourth all round on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
On December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade sending Paul on the L . A . Lakers.
